The Bill (Reg. No.1313) introduces amendments to Chapter 1 of the Law "On the Local Self-Government in Ukraine", which authorize territorial communities to directly perform local self-government, define the procedure of its performance, establish requirements concerning the change of territorial community status.
The Bill also specifies the authorities of village, settlement and city councils related to the new methods of electing the deputies of a local council and considering the issues concerning early termination of authorities of village, settlement or city mayor. The Bill also regulates the issue concerning delegation of authorities of district and regional councils to the heads of relevant local State administrations.
